Collection: Nothing Changes
For the apparel I pick out cotton shirts at the thrift store, wash them, then screen print and or draw on them in order to give them a new life. Please read product description for washing instructions and sizing. Note: I printed these shirts myself, they may have minor imperfections.
I read History of the Wife by Marilyn Yalom recently. The book explores the origins of marriage in Western civilization and the role of women in society. I noticed that despite all the positive changes that have happened over the years, a lot of things haven’t changed. Misogyny is still rampant in our society, and women are still fighting for their bodily autonomy. I used this Nothing Changes drawing to express my existential dread in regard to women's rights.
